I think that this theory applies to most things - the fun is in getting there, as opposed to being there - road trips, dating, getting a promotion, getting a raise, getting a new vehicle, etc. For me it can be summed up in one word; expectation. As humans, we are built to have expectations of everything; people, places, titles, objects. And I think that most people let our imagination run-away from us with these expectations. Our expectations can never be fulfilled because peoples, places, titles, and objects are never perfect.
It's nice when you realize the complete contrast between the rest of our life and our life with Jesus Christ. He was perfect and He came from the perfect creator, God, who promises us His absolute perfection in eternity. I think that Jesus made unbelievable promises, in part, to allow us to have incredible dreams. He empowers us. Because we can have the most eccentric idea of God, Jesus, Heaven, Love, our life (according to God) and we still won't even have an idea of how awesome it really is. It is promised to be better than we could ever imagine. Isn't that amazing?AndreaJhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07993581126119433290noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-23334696.post-32091409217730927892007-04-10T09:34:00.000-06:002007-04-10T09:34:00.000-06:00Wow i actually had to read that twice to actually ...Wow i actually had to read that twice to actually understand what it said but i would have to say that i would agree with what pascal is saying.
I was thinking about when we have discussions about anything religious between a different domination like a morman or a jehovah's witness. We seem to defend and sometimes an arguement is started. I have been through that discussion many a times, but it seems that we do enjoy as people that sometimes you have to fight for what you believe in. Thats the way I see it.KORPhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07936316978766533927noreply@blogger.com
